This is one of the new Expressway roads opened earlier this year in Shanghai. Caught at a quiet time, but believe me it can get busy!
Seen near Shanghai Hongqiao Airport :: July 2010
This is currently one of my favourite images and represents life in the suburbs of Shanghai. There has been frantic construction going on for several years now to place Shanghai in the best infrastructure position possible. Seen best in black and white :: June 2010
I took this image last year and I was never really happy with my original black and white conversion. Having recently worked on more images from the same area after the construction was completed, I decided to go back to this image and some others to look at how I can improve them. This one [...]
All the main walkways are big at the Expo site in Shanghai. By the side of this large structure a sign reads “Do not touch during Thunderstorm” …hmmm sounds scary to me, especially when you know how often Shanghai has thunderstorms!!

More of a close up on the World Trade Centre (right) and the Jin Mao Tower (left).
Taken on a (probably the only) beautiful day in March 2010.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that traffic lights in some part around China are optional guides to when to go and when to stop. In this case, everyone is moving and nobody notices if the light is red or green!!
So much going on in some of the traditional Shanghai streets south of Yuyuan Gardens :: October 2009.
