Signage in the Shanghai Metro fascinates me. I have a few metro signs in my blog already, if you want to see more have a search around.
Shanghai :: May 2010.
Kites are everywhere in the Shanghai public parks and they range from small ones like this, to kites which are flown up to a couple kilometers high above.
This one was seen in the Century Park area of Pudong.

Images on the metro still fascinate me. I took this one with my Canon G10 one evening whilst experimenting with blur and exposure. I really like it, even though I probably shouldn’t!!
After taking the Martin Place subway image, I got a little interested in taking other subway photographs in Sydney. A few follow. Extra points to anyone who notices something not quite right with this pictures, but what makes a big difference to it’s impact on the viewer.
Pretty impressive sign posting going on in the Sydney Subway system. Another of these signs to follow tomorrow, but this is the last day of looking for “Martin” signs.
There’s a subway here too :-) The name Martin is everywhere around here!! lol.
I’m going after interesting signs in and around the Shanghai Metro at the moment. Yesterday was a Zhongshan Park sign and a few days ago I had a cool Line 1 sign. More to come in the future.
Back to the Shanghai Metro for some more underground images: yellow for line 3 and purple for line 4…
Really there is no need to be walking inside the train… the idea is that the train does the work for you!
These people seem to have worked out how enter and exit the train without bumping into each other… I wish everyone could do that!!
…and finally some people who haven’t moved and blurred my shot!
The Line 1 sign on the stairs down to the metro. See more of my metro series by clicking on the metro tag.
I seem to have developed an interest and facination with the Shanghai Metro system (and I am very worried that I might be accused of being a train spotter). Looking back at my images, this isn’t the first time I’ve found myself with a camera in hand taking photographs whilst in a subway style train. [...]
This one was taken on a Shanghai Metro one evening last week. I’ve used a spot graident on the mask to choose the area of focus and then extended it to the person with the mobile phone. I think it works!
I was returning from an evening taking pictures on Hong Kong’s Kowloon waterfront and decided to capture some images on the metro. This is one of the good ones.
