China Telephone

I’m putting together a montage of telephones from different places around the world and decided I really should include one from China.  I found this previously unprocessed image in my achieve.

More (de)construction in Shanghai

It’s a busy time in Shanghai at the moment.  The Expo 2010 is a big deal and much of the city is going through construction and in many places destruction as well.  This image is from a area of the city between People’s Square and Nan Jing Xi Lu.

Green Ladder to ∞ :: National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne

This is actually a very cool optical illusion.  The ladder is about 2-3 metres long from floor to ceiling, but has a large mirrors on each end facing each other and giving a very cool effect of running off to infinity!  See tomorrow for the purple version!

Melbourne Coffee
Melbourne Coffee

It’s time for a bit of Melbourne.  My 10 day trip to Australia now heads a couple hours flight south to Melbourne where they seem much more obsessed about good food, eating out and a good coffee.  No shortage of places to get a latte here and with so many establishments it makes the quality [...]

Rabbits, the sun and the earth make up the details in this interesting panel on an old door in Xing Ping.  I’m not sure if there is a story to this scene, if you know of one, please write back and explain!

This is currently one of my  favourite images and represents life in the suburbs of Shanghai.  There has been frantic construction going on for several years now to place Shanghai in the best infrastructure position possible.  The domestic Hong Qiao Airport recently opened a brand new terminal and this happened in conjunction with a new [...]
